From August, 5th throughout August, 8th the “Blending & Segregation Forum 2019” will be held at the University of Purdue. Organized this year by our research partner, the Center for Particulate Products and Processes (CP3) at the University of Purdue in West Lafayette (IN, USA). Alexanderwerk will actively support the forum and of course also be represented locally. Matt Walczer, National Sales Manager at our US subsidiary Alexanderwerk Inc., will be there to present “The Power of Roller Compaction“.

Incidentally, Alexanderwerk Inc. also supports the forum with exhibits in order to support research in the scientific field of bulk material processing and powder optimization. The University of Purdue operates a WP 120 Pharma from Alexanderwerk in a continuous, integrated production line (blending, roll compaction and tableting) and is funded by the FDA for research in this area. Currently, another WP 120 Pharma is on its way to the USA in order to be able to incorporate the state of the art of roll compaction. Soon this WP 120 Pharma will be installed in the brand new “Flex Center“, a lab sponsored by the FDA.

How high-caliber the event is, shows the Scientific Committee:

  • Marcial Gonzalez, Chair
    Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering
    Purdue University
  • Yi Fan

The key note speakers and session chairs are:

On Thursday, 8.8.2019, there will be an optional symposium, which, like the workshop, is limited to 20 participants. There are still a few places left at the event! Make a reservation “last minute” and meet great people from industry and research on site as well as experts from Alexanderwerk!
