  • Electrical/Mechanical Field Service Engineer, Level 1We are growing and therefore seeking a Field Service Engineer with a good understanding of electrical, mechanical, and automation systems.

    Description of duties and responsibilities:

    This candidate will be responsible for installation, qualification, training, repair, and maintenance of our machinery at the customer’s location; estimated travel will be approximately 50-60%. The candidate will also provide support for in-house activities such as equipment overhaul, phone support, customer correspondence, and laboratory development.

    Required Experience:

    • Experience with one of the following automation platforms is a necessity:
      • Allen Bradley RSLogix500/5000
      • Allen Bradley RSView / Factory Talk View
      • Siemens Simatic Step 7
      • Siemens Protool / WinCC Flexible
      • Alternatively, experience with platforms like B+R Automation, Direct Logic, or Direct Soft
    • Experience with communication protocols such as DeviceNET, Profibus, and Ethernet/IP are also highly beneficial as computer-assisted engineering design software, and equipment may be utilized to perform assignments
    • Experience with variable speed drives, rotating equipment, hydraulics, and pneumatics are of great benefit
    • Experience with pharmaceutical cGMP, validation, and metrology are a plus
    • Knowledge of NEC/ATEX hazardous locations is desirable

    Abilities & Skills Required:

    • Problem Analysis –
      • Excellent electrical/mechanical trouble shooting skills
    • Knowledge Area –
      • Working knowledge of rotating machinery, pneumatics, hydraulics, and machine assembly
      • Basic knowledge of electrical drives, industrial controls, and instrumentation
      • Ability to interpret electrical schematics & mechanical drawings

    Job Requirement When Not Traveling:

    • Working out of the main office location when not on the road to assist with in-house responsibilities, as assigned.

  • Laboratory and Shipping Technician (Cross-Functional Technician)

We are growing and therefore seeking to fill a Laboratory and Shipping Position.  The candidate must have a good understanding of electric and mechanical components, as well as warehousing and shipping activities.

Description of duties and responsibilities:

This candidate will set up, clean, and reassemble machinery for laboratory testing, assist with design of experiment, proof of concept, and contract manufacturing material runs. Also provides support for the customer support, repair, inventory, and shipping department.

Required Experience:

    • Familiarity with electro-mechanical componentry and its repair and maintenance, warehousing and/ or shipping is highly desired.
      • Alternatively: Experience in automotive maintenance / repair, small engine repair, building maintenance, or industrial manufacturing.
    • Related work experience especially in the pharmaceutical industry and / or manufacturing is preferred.
    • Domestic and International shipping experience a plus, but not necessary.

    • Ability to easily navigate multiple software and internet applications, proficient in MS Office programs, basic data entry skills
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Controls Engineer

We are expanding our product and service offerings and therefore seeking to fill our Controls Engineer position who will primarily support engineering and customer support controls and drive development, service, and also localization initiatives.

Description of duties and responsibilities:

This candidate will assist our sales and global engineering team during the sales and project phase in creating made to order machine controls based on existing platforms and programs. Drive our localization initiative helping us assemble machines with locally sourced solutions. Assist our customer support team in finding solutions for retrofits and substituting obsolete components.

Required Experience:

    • Bachelor Degree in electrical engineering with focus on AB and Siemens PLC, IPC, HMI controls, frequency inverter drives, power electronics, electric motors, instrumentation and controls, in a rotating machinery environment.
    • Proficiency in PLC operation and troubleshooting, digital communications, e.g. Python, Shell, C, C++, Assembly, Linux, FreeRTOS, Structure Text, Ethernet, Modbus, Profibus, etc. and HMI operator interface software packages, e.g. Ladder Logic, Wonderware, FactoryTalk, Secomea, etc. required.
    • Understanding of power distribution and central computer systems at plant level highly desired.
    • Related work experience especially in the pharmaceutical industry and / or manufacturing is preferred.
